We bought this to replace an open bookshelf on which we had a gazillion VHS tapes stacked. I rated this a "4" because it is not "fine furniture," but it is good looking and fulfills the purpose. The assembly is relatively straightforward, but be sure to read the instructions carefully and think them over carefully -- they are not always perfectly clear. I assembled the piece by myself, but it would have been helpful to have had my spouse's assistance, particularly when attaching the doors -- the hinges would have been easier to line up with four hands helping! All in all, a good buy.
