This is a beautifully designed and powerful Bluetooth speaker that has a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery inside of it to make it portable. The first thing you want to do is install the battery and charge it for 4 hours. The manual states that you should have the speaker off when charging it. It also advises you to only charge the speaker with the supplied charger and do not use your computer or any other USB style of power source. The charging plug is a Mini USB so make sure to use only the supplied power supply. When charging the battery the LED on the front of the speaker is bright red and when charging is complete the LED is still red but very dim. There is an ON/OFF switch on the back of the speaker.

I have included a video to show how to install the battery and pair the speaker with your smart device. Pairing the Bluetooth was fast and easy with my iPhone and my iPad. I always suggest that when you are pairing a Bluetooth device to your smart device that you have them within 3 feet of each other. There is a carrying handle built into the speaker's back.

The speaker's sound output is marvelous. Its bass is booming and the treble is clear. The speaker has a 5 watt Woofer and a 2 watt Tweeter powered by an internal amplifier. The combined output is 4 watts and the music output level is very good. Don't forget that the adjustment of the volume of the speaker is a combination of the volume setting on the speaker and the volume setting on your smart device. You also have an Auxiliary cable to allow the speaker to be connected to any device that doesn't have a Bluetooth output but has a headphone jack output like your MP3 Player or your old iPod.
