I tried a few different crank-type flashlights including the FR150 which has the solar charger, radio, cellphone charger and flashlight. Depending on the features you really want is how highly you will regard this flashlight. I was looking for primarily a flashlight for my car. The advantage of a crank type flashlight is that there is no worry about potentially dead batteries when you need the flashlight. While the FR150 combo is small, cute and works, the flashlight is comprised of 3 small LEDs. The flashlight works, but it's not all that powerful. The radio was not all that important for our purposes. I also tried a couple of other brands of crank flashlights at REI, even ones with larger beams, and none of them were all that much that better.
I ordered the Eton Dynamo, FL200, from Amazon. This flashlight uses 4-LEDs and they appear to be larger as well. For whatever reason, this is a much more powerful flashlight than any other crank type I have tried. While not quite as powerful as my Magnelite which uses D batteries, it's not far off. The beam thrown is also larger than the one thrown by the FR150.
So, if you're looking for a really functional flashlight of this type and can do without the radio, this is the one to get.
