I ordered this for a Lenovo 1838 Tablet. In short, it works great and I'd buy it again in a minute.First things first. This device works for T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. It's unlocked and for all intents and purposes carrier agnostic. It comes with a AT&T Sim card as well.
It will work with AT&T's 3G network using 850/1900 mhz bands, but will not work on their 4G LTE networks.
It will work with Sprint and Verizon's EVDO/CDMA 3G networks, but will not work on the 4G LTE networks.
It will work on T-Mobile's Edge network, but will not work on their 3G network because it does not support the AWS/1700 mhz bands T-Mobile uses for 3G.
It will work on T-Mobile's European network on Edge and 3G.
This device will also work globally, so long as you have the proper Sim/CDMA plan.
I opted to go with AT&T because they offered a no-contract tablet plan for $25 a month because Sprint's plan was $30 and required a contract. Sprint also mentions their 3G network tops out at 3.1Mbps.
You should be able to install this in your device and walk into a AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint or Verizon store and walk out with data on your device. The only activation issue I had was that AT&T recognizes this card as a Lenovo T520 card which is not eligible for a tablet plan. They worked it out and got the right plan. But just remember this is technically a Lenovo T520 card, so if you put it in a tablet like I did, you'll get a few extra headaches getting it activated with the right plan.
After it was activated I was online and having a good time. I was able to get consistent dl speeds on AT&T of 3.5Mbps and on occasion speeds as high as 6Mps.
Hope that helps.
