Electrified 915B403001 Replacement Lamp with Housing for Mitsubishi Projectors- 150 Day Electrified Warranty Review

Ordered this lamp assembly for my son. His Mitsubishi 60" DLP rear projection TV (Model: WD-60735) bulb burned out after who knows how many hours of use. After having a really bad CS problem from another supplier, I helped him out in this regard.

This bulb assembly is a direct replacement for MITSUBISHI 915B403001 -- the actual factory replacement bulb.

The bulb and housing came packed in a huge oversized, air bag filled box to protect the inner box holding the bulb package. Opening the bulb package, the packing was preformed to securely hold and protect the bulb and bulb housing while in the box for shipping. Upon inspection of both boxes and contents -- no visible damage was apparent.

My son took the bulb home and put it into his TV. Within seconds, the bulb housing was mounted and plugged in. He then flipped the switch on, but the TV was totally dead. He forgot about the back panel safety interlock switch located at one corner of the TV. If the back panel is not securely mounted, the TV will not start. After remounting the panel securely, the TV switched on and looked just like the day be bought it. The bulb was as bright as the original bulb.

CS on this order: We ordered this bulb with 2nd day delivery. Much to our surprise, we received the package overnight (25 hours after ordering the bulb). We are very pleased with Amazon and this fulfillment provider's prompt attention to our order and service quality in both shipping and handling. This was a pleasant change over the last supplier and the hassle my son had getting a replacement bulb through them.

Overall, the TV is back 100% and I anticipate another long period of time before this bulb burns out. For the price you cannot beat it!

6/28/2011 - Update

Last night, this bulb burned out. 3 days (approx 12 hours) of use and it died. If the bulb is going to die, it will be very quickly (like this one) or many hours down the road. The luck of the draw and we drew the short straw on this bulb.

Requested an RMA as a warranty return. The return was a prepay through U.S.P.S., so we should hear something in the next few days. Kudos to Amazon and the fulfillment provider in this regard.
